THE OPERATOR PANEL

VERVIEW
This chapter describes the printer's Operator Panel and how
it works. It provides information about how to use the
buttons and what the lights indicate. Most printer settings
can be changed through the printer driver software but some
printer tasks are accomplished through the Operator Panel.
Signals from the Operator Panel lights, or LEDs, quickly
show printer status.

The printer has two buttons, Go/Continue and Cancel. Use
these buttons to cancel a print job, reset the printer, print a
Settings page, or clean the Fuser Unit.
The table shown on this page shows what you can do when
you press either button.
The table on the next page shows what you can do when you
press both buttons at once.
Button
Cancel
When the printer is processing a print job,
you can press this button to Cancel the
Print Job. Pressing the Cancel button will
cause the printer to flush out all received
data. The time it takes to cancel a job
depends on the size of the print job.
When there is no print job on the printer,
pressing the Cancel button has no effect.
Go/Continue
Press the Go/Continue button to resume
printing as in a manual print job.
With the printer idle, press and hold down
the Go/Continue button to print a Settings
Page.You must press and hold the button
(approximately 4 seconds) until all four
LEDs blink two times, the LEDs then cycle
one after the other.
