• When using the cable box/satellite receiver
control, select tile channel by pressing
CH +_ on this recorder's remote. Tile
recorder's input isswitched to the cnnnected
input (L1NEI or LINE2). You can also use
tile number buttons.
• When not using the cable box/satellRe
receiver control, select the connected input
(LINE 1 or LINE2) by pressing INPUT, and
then select the channel on the cable box/
satellite receiver's side.
Press RECMODE repeatedlyto select the
recordingmode.
Tile display changes on the TV screen as

Recording starts.
Recording continues until you stop tile
recording or tile disc is fulh
Leave the cable bnx/satellite receiver turned
on and do not change the channel you are
recording.
To stop recording
Press • STOP.
Note that it may take a few seconds R/r the
recorder to stop recording.
Topauserecording
Press II PAUSE.
To restart recording, press II PAUSE again.
To watch a VHS tape while recording
Press VIDE() to operate the VCR, insert a tape,
then press I2:>PLAY.

• To play a disc recorded with this recorder on other
eguipment, finalize the disc (page 88).
• You can turn off the TV during recording.
• Recording may not start immediately after • REC is
pressed.
• You cannot change the recording mode during
recording or recording pause.
• If there is a power failure, the program you are
recording may be erased.
• You cannot change the input source (luringrecording.
Recording usingthe Quick Timer
(0ne-t0uch Timer Recording)
You can set tile recorder to record in 30-minute
increnlents.

PressDVDtooperatetheDVDrecorder.

duration.
Each press increases the time hy 30 minutes,
up to eight hours*.

Press • RE(" repeatedly until tile counter appears

normal recording mode.
To stop recording
Press • STOP twice.
