Enjoyinga slide show with sound
When a disccontains both MP3 audio tracksand
JPEG image files, you can enjoy a slide show wifl_
sotmd.

PressDVD to operatethe DVD recorder.

Insert a DATACD/DATADVD containing
boththe MP3 audiotracksandJPEGimage
files.
The display for selecting a media type
appears.

Select the folder youwant to view, and

The "Slideshow Speed" menu appears.

The slide show starts with sound.
About MP3 audio tracks and JPEG
image files
MP3 is audio compression technology that
satisfies flaeISO/IEC MPEG regulations.
JPEG is image compression technology.
You can play back DATA CDs (CD=ROMs/CD=
Rs/CD-RWs) or DATA DVDs (DVD-ROMs/
DVD+RWsIDVD-RWsIDVD+RsIDVD-Rs)
recorded in MP3 (MPEGI Atldio Layer 3) and
JPEG %nnat.
However, Ibis recorder only plays DATA CDs
whose logical %treat is 1SO9660 Level l/Level 2
or Joliel, and DATA DVDs ol Universal Disk
Format (UDF).
See the h_struclions supplied with lhe disc drives
and the recording software (nol supplied) for
details on Ihe recording lkwmal.
The recorder may not be able Io play some DATA CDs
or DATA DVDs created in the Packet Write format.
MP3 audiotracks or JPEGimage files that the
recorder can play
The recorder can play the following tracks and
files:
MP3(MPEGI Audio Layer3) audio tracks.
MP3audio tracks withthe extenskm".MP3."
JPEGimagefiles withthe extension"JPEG" or
-jpG. '_

• If you add numbers
(01, fi2, 03, etc.) to the front of the
file names, the files will be played in that order.
• Since a disc with many trees takes longer to start
playback,
it ix recommended
that you create albums
with no more than tWO trees.

To stopthe slide show
Press • STOP.

you can also use the on-
screen menu. For details,

• The slide show is played repeatedly
until MP3
playback
