Cleaning the Shuttle Race and Feed Dogs
[] Unplug the machine and remove the presser foot and
needle. Open the face cover to allow room to remove the
needle plate screw with a screwdriver. Remove the needle
plate_l_ and take out the bobbin.

[] Lift up the bobbin holder_2_ and remove it.

[] Brush out dust and lint inside the bobbin holder. Clean
the feed dogs _3_and hook race(4_with a lint brush. Wipe
out gently with a soft, dry cloth.

[] Line up the triangle marks_5_ and position the bobbin
holder, so that the notch fits next to the stopper(6_ in the
hook race.

Oiling the Machine
Unplug the machine. Open the face cover and oil the two
points, as shown, at least once a year. One or two drops of
oil is sufficient. Remove excess oil, otherwise it may stain the
fabric. In case the machine has not been used for a long
period, oil it before sewing. Use quality sewing machine oil.
