Cannot Connect to the Internet
Solution
If you cannot connect to the Internet, check the setting using the following flowchart.
Check the AirStation's IP Address, Default Gateway, and DNS. Refer to the "Checking the AirSta-
tion's IP Address, Default Gateway and DNS" section (page 29).
Check the connection between the AirStation and the provider. (Refer to the "Checking Connections
Between the AirStation and the Provider" section (page 30).)
Check the connection between the Ethernet LAN PC or wireless LAN PC and the provider. (Refer to the
"Checking Connections Between the Ethernet LAN PC or Wireless LAN PC and the Provider" section (page
31).
Checking the AirStation's IP Address, Default Gateway and DNS
<When the IP Address Is Automatically Obtained from the Provider>
Check the connection using the following procedure.

Refer to the "Displaying AirStation Setting Screen" section in Chapter 1 What
Next? (page 6) and display the AirStation setting screen.

Select Diagnosis and then select Information of the main Unit.

Check the contents in the IP Address of the WAN setting field and follow the pro-
cedure outlined below.
If "Succeed auto assignment" is displayed for automatically obtaining an IP address, the con-
nection between the AirStation and cable modem is normal.
Write down the IP address of the DNS Server address field in the IP Address of WAN Setting.
Proceed to the "Checking Connection Between the Ethernet LAN PC or Wireless LAN PC
and the Provider" section (page 31).
If "Fail auto assignment" is displayed for automatically obtaining an IP address, check the fol-
lowing points.
• Check if there is a problem with the cable connecting the AirStation to the cable modem. Also check if
there is a problem on the provider side. Connect the cable to an Ethernet LAN PC and check if you can
connect to the Internet.
• Remove the cable modem's power supply from the socket and wait approximately 30 to 60 seconds.
Then re-insert the power supply into the socket.
