Creating a user profile to control multiple CLIE handhelds
If your company introduces multiple CLIE handhelds to its employees, for
example, you can create a user profile (such as a company phone list) to load
the data into several CLIE handhelds without associating that data with a
user name.
Notes
• This feature is designed only for the first HotSync operation (before you have
assigned a User ID to a particular CLIE handheld).
• For the procedure used to send a profile after setting user names, see "Synchronizing
with external data (File Link)" on page 138.
Creating a profile

Start the Palm Desktop for CLIE software.

Select Users from the Tools menu.
The Users dialog box appears. If no user profile is created, the New Profile
dialog box is displayed. Skip to step 4.

Click Profiles.
The Profiles dialog box appears.
