Open the DIMM slot latches.

Install the DIMM.

Install the access panel.
8.
Install the server in the rack.
9.
Connect each power cord to the server.
10. Connect each power cord to the power source.
11. Power up the server.
Use the BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) in the UEFI System Utilities to configure the memory mode.

Prerequisites
Before you begin this procedure, make sure that the components included with the hardware option kit are
available.
Procedure
1.
Power down the server.
2.
Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3.
