About this task
Certain hardware configurations require high-performance fans.
This kit meets extended ambient operating temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius. For more information
about extended ambient configurations, contact customer support.
Procedure
1.
Power down the server.
2.
Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3.
Do one of the following:
a. Extend the server from the rack.
b. Remove the server from the rack.
4.
Remove the access panel.
5.
Remove any fan blanks.
6.
Remove all standard fans.
