7.1 Removing the D400 Main Module
You need to remove the D400 main module from the chassis to access the system
battery and the system CompactFlash card for maintenance.

To remove and re-insert the D400 main module:
Power down the D400.
1.
Hand-loosen the two screws on the front panel of the D400 main module.
2.
Grasping the two handles, pull out the D400 main module.
3.
Make the necessary changes.
4.
Slide the main module back into the chassis.
5.
Note: Ensure the connectors at the rear of the main board are firmly seated.
Hand-tighten the two screws on the front panel.
6.
Power up the D400 and verify that the Power LED is illuminated.
