For ease of installation, it is recommended to fit the faucet before installing the Command Center. The installation procedure for each of the faucets is detailed in the Faucet Installation instruction book supplied with the faucet.

    Installation checklist Before Installation: Read the instructions and check if there is adequate space to mount all of the components. Note: Not all fittings are supplied with the appliance kit. Isolation valves are not supplied. Check the mains water pressure is between 250 - 700 kPa (37 - 100 psi). Products are rated for either 110-120V, 60Hz OR 230V, 50Hz AC installations.

The Zip HydroTaps are electronically controlled, filtered, Boiling, Chilled and Sparkling water, drinking systems for kitchens and tea rooms.

    Lifting Take care when lifting the Zip HydroTap Command Center. Some units may exceed safe lifting limits. If you feel this is beyond your personal capabilities, please seek assistance with the lift. The weights of the units are marked on the packaging.

    Before Installation Before installing ensure that the following have been provided at the Installation site: • Review all the technical specifications. • Ensure the undersink can support the product weight when full of water (allow an extra 5 kg (11 lb) when full).

    Section 2 Ventilation When installing air flow ducts, the following tools will be required: • Jigsaw and a 12mm (½”) Drill • Keyhole or Wall Board saw. 2.1 Ventilation for All Models Proper air circulation must be provided for all models. The system will operate correctly only if the recommended air gaps are achieved during installation.

    Ventilation 2.3 Alternative Ventilation If the air flow, using the silicone door buffers, is insufficient, it will be necessary to fit a standard HydroTap vent kit, which ensures heat dissipation through natural convection via installed vents. For high use applications, where the cabinet space temperature is near 35°C (95°F) or higher, the inlet vent (See Item B below) and silicone buffers, need to be fitted.

    The diverter bypass valve allows the user to choose to have the boiling water treated either by the internal or by an optional external water treatment device. This diverter valve is located at the rear panel of the Zip HydroTap Command Center (see the image below).

    Zip Customer can opt to extend the Zip Product warranty by one (1) year, making the total Limited Warranty period two (2) years. In order to extend the warranty to two (2) years, the Zip Customer must register their product with Zip.
