Excessive wire length.

Furnish adequate power. If using extension cord, try again without it.
Restricted air passages.
•
o
Contact authorized service center.
Back pressure in pump head.
•
o
Replace check valve.
o
Replace pressure switch bleeder valve.
Overheating.
•
o
Poor ventilation. Relocate compressor to an area with cool, dry and well-circulated air.
Dirty cooling surface.
•
o
Clean all cooling surfaces of pump thoroughly.
Leaking valve.
•
o
Replace worn parts and reassemble with new seals.
Motor stalls.
•
o
Low voltage. Furnish adequate power.
Defective pressure switch bleeder valve.
•
o
Replace pressure switch bleeder valve.
o
Pressure relief valve open. Close.
Tank pressure exceeds normal operating pressure.
•
o
Replace pressure switch.
Motor will not run.
•
o
Tank pressure exceeds present pressure switch limit. Motor will start automatically when tank pressure drops below
cut-in pressure.
o
Motor overload protection has tripped. Let motor cool off and overload switch will automatically reset. This may
take several minutes.
o
Circuit breaker tripped. Reset circuit breaker. Do not use circuit breaker with higher rating than specified for your
branch circuit.
o
Check for low voltage and proper extension cord size.
o
Disconnect other applications from circuit. Operate compressor on a dedicated circuit.
o
Overload button on panel tripped. Press overload button on control panel to reset.
Check valve stuck open.
•
o
Remove and clean or replace.
If bleeder valve does not open, replace bleeder valve.
•
Possible defective motor.
•
o
Bring to service center for inspection and repair.
