Autofeed Assembly

WARNING
To prevent serious injury, proper assembly of the
Drain Cleaner is required. The following proce-
dures should be followed:

NOTE! Autofeed attachment can only be mounted on a
K-39 with slide-action chuck.
NOTE! Removal of parts is not required to attach the
autofeed assembly.

1. Lift up the feed actuator lever to expose the screw
hole in the hand grip. It should require effort to lift the
handle (Figure 3).

2. Slide autofeed unit over the cable and align it with the
hand grip of the K-39.
3. Secure the autofeed unit with the four (4) screws
provided. Tighten screws snugly. DO NOT OVER-
TIGHTEN. The slotted holes are for convenience
only and can be aligned as desired.
4. Push the feed actuator lever back down into its
locked position.
Drain Cleaner Inspection
WARNING
To prevent serious injury, inspect your Drain
Cleaning Machine. The following inspection pro-
cedures should be performed before each use.
1. Make sure the Drain Cleaning Machine is unplugged.
2. Electrical components:
K-39 Drain Cleaner:
Inspect the power cord and plug for damage. If the
plug has been modified or if the cord is damaged, do
not use the Drain Cleaner until the cord has been re-
placed.
K-39 Battery Charger:
Inspect the power cord and plug for damage. If the
cord or plug is damaged, do not use the charger
until the cord is replaced. Inspect charger for damage.
Do not use charger if it has received a sharp blow,
been dropped or otherwise damaged.
