SECTION 7: SERVICE

Review the troubleshooting procedures in this section if a problem develops with your machine. If you need
replacement parts or additional help with a procedure, call our Technical Support. Note: Please gather the
serial number and manufacture date of your machine before calling.
Motor & Electrical

Troubleshooting

Possible Solution
1. Remove E-Stop cover to reset. Replace if at fault.
2. Ensure correct power supply voltage and circuit size
(Page 10).
3. Test for good contacts/correct the wiring (Page 29).
4. Ensure circuit is free of shorts. Reset circuit breaker or
replace fuse.
5. Correct motor wiring connections (Page 29).
6. Fix broken wires or disconnected/corroded
connections (Page 29).
7. Replace switch.
8. Replace motor.
1. Clean grinding belt, and then reduce workpiece
pressure.
2. Use correct size/type of metal.
3. Correct motor wiring connections (Page 29).
4. Test for good contacts/correct the wiring (Page 29).
5. Clean/replace grinding belt; reduce feed rate/grinding
depth.
6. Clean motor, let cool, and reduce workload.
7. Move machine closer to power supply; use shorter
extension cord.
8. Replace motor.
1. Ensure belt is tracking correctly (Page 20).
2. Replace damaged or missing bolts/nuts or tighten if
loose.
3. Tighten/replace.
4. Fix/replace fan cover; replace loose/damaged fan.
5. Test by rotating shaft; rotational grinding/loose shaft
requires bearing replacement.
