Connecting an Audio Digital Receivers (Fig. 2/10)
If you want to use the 5-channel audio transmission (Dolby
Digital Sound/AC3), you must connect your audio digital
receiver to the coaxial output of the receiver.
Refer to the connection instructions in the user manual of
your audio digital receiver.
NOTE:
The coaxial cable is not supplied with the receiver.
• Plug the coaxial cable into the "SPDIF" jack on the
receiver.
• Connect the coaxial cable to your audio digital
receiver.
Connect the aerial (Fig. 2/6)
NOTE:
Please ensure that DVB-T signals can be received in your
area.
The receiver is connected to an aerial through an antenna
cable. You can connect the receiver through a domestic
aerial or a passive or active DVB-T aerial.
• Plug the antenna cable plug into the antenna port
ANT IN on the receiver.
Batteries for the remote (Batteries not supplied)
• Open the battery compartment cover on the back of
the remote.
• Insert 2 Type R03 "AAA" 1.5V batteries. Check that the
polarity is correct (see inside of battery compartment)!
• Close the battery compartment again.
Setting Up
• Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage
given on the information plate.
• Plug the mains plug into an approved 230 V, 50 Hz
earthed socket.
• Press the Power button " " on the front of the
receiver. The display lights up blue.
• Switch on the AV channel on the TV set.
NOTE:
The user manual of the TV set tells you how to switch on
the AV channel.
Getting Started
When using the receiver for the first time, the start win-
dow of the installation menu is displayed. With the help
of the installation menu it is easy to set the receiver and
to search for TV channels.
• Using the PROG+ or PROG- buttons, select the re-
quired option.
The following options are available:
OSD Language: Select the preferred language of the
OSD menu.
Country:
Set the country in which you are
using the receiver.
Time zone:
Set the time zone according to the
country.
LCN:
Select "Off".
If the LCN Function is switched on,
the regional channels from your
region are sorted and saved regard-
less of frequency, provided that
this function is supported by the
broadcaster. If the LCN function
is activated, the channel position
numbers are moved forwards.
Start:
Activates the automatic channel
search.
• Press the OK button and make your selection with the
PROG+ or PROG- buttons.
• Confirm your selection with the OK button.
• After you have completed the settings, select
"START" and press the OK button to start searching.
• After the receiver has finished searching, the receiver
switches to TV mode.
General Operation
Switching the receiver on and off
• To switch the receiver on and off, press the " " Power
On/Off switch on the receiver.
• To switch between Standby mode and Operating
mode, press the "STANDBY "- button on the remote.
Setting the volume
You can set the required volume using the VOL+/VOL- or
+/- buttons on the receiver.
NOTE:
Remember that you will only adjust the output volume
of the receiver by doing this. To adjust the volume
according to your requirements, you must adjust the
volume of the playback unit.
Program selection
• Using the PROG+/PROG- or / buttons on the
receiver, scroll through the stored channels.
• Using the digit buttons, you can directly enter a chan-
nel position.

Display channel list

• Press LIST to display the channel list.
