5. For a Private LAN installations,
MAC Address is unique for each unit and
will not change.
DHCP should be de-selected.
IP Address: Get a static IP address from
Network Administrator.
Subnet Mask: Get subnet mask from
Network Administrator
Gateway IP Address: Get it from Network
Administrator
DNS Server IP Address is not used.
For AlarmNet-i installations,
DHCP should be selected. The server
will automatically provide all other data.
6. For Private LAN installations - Remote
Control feature is not available and RCPP
should always be de-selected.
For AlarmNet-i installations - Remote
Control feature is available and RCPP
should be enabled for remote control of the
7810iR-ent.
FTP should always be de-selected.
Telnet should always be de-selected.
BlowFish or AES encryption should be
selected.
Web Port & Code Port should be left at
their default values.
NOTE: In Private LAN the 7810iR-ent will indicate a Network failure in one of two ways:
On the Home Page System Status bar the background turns red with a "NO Link" message
posted and an audible alert is sounded and the respective background turns red with
"Silence Alert" message posted. Upon Network restoration, the 7810iR-ent resets.

* Important * To make these changes effective
Press Restart button to restart network
services. The Unit will reset.
NOTE: On the Start-up Screen the user will be
notified as to the reason for the Reset.
