Key Mainframe Definitions

For non-DPS models.
a.
Base CPS Systems —- non—DPS
This is the configuration which is the heart of
each mainframe.
It is obtained by use of the CPS
number shown on the pertinent Base Mainframe
Configurator chart for the model you want to
order.
The base CPS system type number is the
first type number you write on your initial
order. All additions at the time of the initial
order or after the system has been installed are
made to the base CPS system. Base CPS system is
also known as base system, or basic system or
base mainframe.
