11.3 Handheld Remote Interface Battery Replacement

Caution: Only replace the batteries in a non-hazardous area. Only replace
the batteries with approved 'AAA' alkaline batteries, Energizer E92 or
Duracell MN2400. Use only two new batteries of the same type when
replacing batteries. The Handheld Remote Interface has no user serviceable
parts. To prevent ignition of flammable or combustible atmospheres,
disconnect power before servicing the Handheld Remote Interface.
The Handheld Remote Interface uses 2 x AAA 1.5Vdc Alkaline (Zn-Mn) batteries,
type Energizer E92 or Duracell MN2400. Under normal operating conditions (6 month
calibration interval) the batteries will last for more than 2 years. If not used for long
periods remove the batteries from the case.
Replace the batteries as follows:
1. Turn the Handheld Remote Interface upside down.
2. Undo the retaining screw and remove the battery retaining cover.
3. Remove the 2 AAA-size batteries.
4. Fit 2 new AAA-size batteries ensuring correct polarity orientation.
5. Refit the cover and tighten the screw.
