2. Follow the directions on the screen and step on the middle of the scale and stand as still as possible so
that the scale can get a reading. A screen similar to the following appears:

You must be able to stand on a scale without support for the time it takes the monitor to collect
your weight -- approximately five seconds without movement.
CAUTION: Personal Injury Hazard
3. When the scale has acquired a weight, a screen similar to the following appears:
4. Step off the scale.

Weight placed on the edge of the scale may cause the scale to tip and cause you
to fall.
Do NOT step onto or attempt to stand on the edge of the scale.
