Powering the Monitor
The Genesis Touch Monitor is a touchscreen tablet. It can run on either the internal rechargeable batteries
(not removable) or through an AC adapter that plugs into an electrical outlet.
IMPORTANT: We recommend that you have the monitor plugged in while using.
To turn the monitor on:
1. Press and hold the Power button on the top side of the monitor until the Samsung name appears, then
release the button. A Vitals Now/Home screen similar to the following appears:
Note:
If your care provider has not set up educational information and/or video for you, the
Education and/or Video buttons will not appear on your screen. Also, if there are no vitals
scheduled, there will be no Next Scheduled Reading message.
IMPORTANT: If you inadvertently press the Power button and the monitor goes to sleep (black screen),
press and release the Power button. The Vitals Now/Home screen appears.
If you don't touch the screen for a period of time, a time and date screen appears. Touch
the screen to display the Vitals Now/Home screen.
