C. Touch up with primer and paint.
7. Transceiver Special Requirements
A. Transistors V39, V38, and V41 on Amplifier Board, A31, must be evenly coated with ther-
mo-lubricant during installation.
CAUTION: FOR COATING DO NOT USE A BRUSH.
Make sure that the heat sinks and the surfaces of the transistors are clean. Begin by lightly
tightening transistor screws crosswise with uniform force (0.1 to 0.2Nm), then secure with a
tightening torque of 0.6 to 0.7Nm.
B. Transistors V38 and V41 on Amplifier Board, A31, must always be renewed together. Use
matched pairs. The color of the transistor marking must be the same.
C. Compliance with the installed solder height of transistors V4 and V9 on Amplifier Board, A31,
(bottom edge of housing/printed circuit board) of 1.5mm is essential.
D. When changing the voltage regulator, N4, on Regulator board, A41, the heat sink unit has to
be changed also.
The heat sink unit consists of:
Heat Sink Angle MZ 6014.4553
Heat Sink AZ 0580.9779
Mounting Pad AZ 0014.9034
