Step 3

Changing sewing directions

Note:
If the needle is not in the fabric, you
can rotate the Hand Wheel
anticlockwise (toward you) to drop the
needle into the fabric.
But incorrect the hand wheel rotating
direction will cause upper and bobbin
thread blockage under the needle
plate.
Turn anticlockwise the hand wheel to
make the calibration tails highest
sewing.
Stop the machine at the point where
you wish to change directions with
the needle still in the fabric.
Raise the presser foot and turn the
fabric to line up to its new direction
using the needle as a turning point.
Lower the presser foot and continue
sewing in the new direction.
Step 4

Basic Z-stitch

Simple zigzag sewing is widely used
for overcasting or sewing on button,
etc.
Turn the Stitch Selector Dial
the "C" "D" or "E" position.
adjust the Thread Tension Dial
2-5.
Length Dial
can be adjusted
between 1-4.
Note:
To obtain better zigzag stitches, the
upper thread tension should be
slightly less than when sewing straight
stitches.
