Inserting Different Paper Between the Front Cover and the Pages

This allows you to insert a front cover at the start, a back cover at the end, a banner page, and so on.

Select [Print] from the [File] menu of the application.

Select [Cover Pages] to specify the settings for front and back pages.
The available values in [Source] vary depending on the optional devices installed in this equipment and their
configuration on the Paper Feed menu.
Use Front Cover: Sets front cover printing. Inserts or prints a front cover on a sheet fed from a tray other than the
Paper Source option selected on the [Basic] tab.
Select to enable cover printing and select the tray from which to feed a cover sheet and the print style.
 Source
Select the tray from which to feed a cover sheet. When [Auto (Default)] is selected, the paper is automatically
selected according to the printed document size.
 Print Style
Select how to print the cover.
- Do not print on page: Inserts a blank front cover.
- Print on page: Prints the first page image on the front side of a cover. When the Two-Sided Printing option
is enabled in the Layout menu, the first two pages images are printed on both sides of a cover.
- Print on 1 side of page: Prints the first page image on the front side of a cover. The back of the cover will be
blank.
Use Back Cover: Sets back cover printing. Inserts or prints a back cover on a sheet fed from a tray other than the
Paper Source option selected on the [Basic] tab. Select to enable back cover printing and select the tray from
which to feed a cover sheet and the print style.
 Source
Select the tray from which to feed a cover sheet. When [Auto (Default)] is selected, the paper is automatically
selected according to the printed document size.
 Print Style
Select how to print a back cover.
- Do not print on page: Inserts a blank front cover.
- Print on page: Prints the last page image on the front side of a cover. When the Two-Sided Printing option is
enabled in the Layout menu, the first two page images are printed on both sides of a back cover.
- Print on 1 side of page: Prints the last page image on the front side of a cover. The back of the cover will be
blank.
If Two-Sided is selected and there is only one page printed on the back cover, the last page is printed on the front
side of the cover sheet and back side of the cover will be blank.
