ADJUSTING THE ENGINE IDLING SPEED

1. Adjust:
Idle needle
●
Turning in the idle needle screw will lean out
the mixture at low speeds, and turning out it
will enrich the mixture.
Standard idle needle screw position
SEC：
1-1/3±1/6 (80±10 min.)
SEJ：
1-1/4±1/6 (75 ±10 min.)
2. Adjust:
High speed needle
●
Turning in the high speed needle screw will
lean out the mixture at low speeds, and
turning out it will enrich the mixture.
Standard high speed needle screw position
SEC：
5/12±1/6 (25±10 min.)
SEJ：
11/12 (55 min.)
3. The engine is warmed up
4. Attach:
Engine speed meter
●
Connect the engine speed meter clip as shown.

5. Adjust:
Idle adjust screw
●
Turning in the idle adjust screw will increase
idle speed, and turning out it will decrease
idle speed.
Standard engine idling speed:
3000∼3800rpm
WARNING
Before starting the engine, be sure to use the
kartstand for safety.
