Refuelling

Before refuelling, stop the engineέ
ά
σever refuel near naked lamesέ

Do not smoke when refuellingέ

Always allow suficient time for the engine to cool down before refuellingέ

Take care not to let your skin come into contact with petroleum productsέ Do not
inhale gasoline fumes and always wear protective gloves when refuellingέ
Change and clean protective wear at regular intervalsέ

Take extra care to avoid spilling gasoline and oil in order to avoid contamination
of the ground (environmental protection)έ If gasoline or oil has been spilled onto
the pole hedge trimmer, immediately wipe the surface of the pole hedge trimmer
with a ragέ
To avoid spontaneous combustion, allow wet rags to dry suficiently before
discarding them into an appropriate, covered containerέ

εake sure that no fuel comes in contact with your clothingέ Change fuelά
contaminated clothing immediately (ire hazard)έ

Close the fuel tank and tighten the fuel tank cap securelyέ To restart the engine,
transfer the pole hedge trimmer to a location at least γ meters away from the
place of refuellingέ

Check the fuel tank cap at regular intervals to make sure that the cap is securely
fastened.

σever refuel the machine in an enclosed roomέ Fuel vapors accumulate at ground
level (risk of explosion)έ

Store fuel in appropriate containers only, and make sure that stored fuel is out of
the reach of children.
Operation

In the event of an emergency, turn off the engine immediatelyέ

If you feel any unusual condition (eέgέ noise, vibration) during operation, switch off
the engineέ Do not use the pole hedge trimmer until the cause is recognized and
solved.

The blades continue to move for a short period after releasing the throttle trigger
or switch off the engineέ Don't rush to contact the bladesέ
ά
Never attempt to operate the equipment with one hand. Loss of control may result
in serious or fatal injuryέ To reduce the risk of cut injuries, keep your hands and
feet away from the blades.

Keep your right hand under the shoulder height during operationέ τtherwise you
may lose control and result in injury.

During operation, never hit the blades against hard obstacles such stones and
metalsέ Take particular care when cutting hedges next to or against wire fencesέ
When working close to the ground, make sure that no sand, grit or stones get
between the blades.

If the blades come into contact with stones or other solid objects, stop the engine
immediately and check the blades for damage after removing the spark plug capέ
Replace the blades if damagedέ

σever touch or approach the blades while they are movingέ Blades can cut your
inger easilyέ When handling or approaching the blade, stop the engine and
remove the spark plug capέ

If thick branches get jammed in the blades, immediately stop the engine, put the
pole hedge trimmer down and then remove the obstruction after removing the
spark plug capέ Check the blades for damage before using the equipment againέ

Accelerating the engine with the blades blocked increases the load and may
damage the engine andήor clutchέ

Check the cutting blades frequently during operation for cracks or blunt edgesέ
Before the inspection, switch off the engine and wait until the blades stop
completelyέ Replace damaged or dull blades immediately, even if they have only
supericial cracksέ

Do not touch the gear caseέ The gear case becomes hot during operationέ

Take a rest to prevent loss of control caused by fatigueέ We recommend to take a

Before cutting, pull the throttle lever fully to achieve the maximum speedέ

of slippery and wet areas (ice and snow) during the cold season (danger of
slipping), and always ensure secure footingέ
