Antenna Connection
Antenna power
Use the Antenna power option to switch on or off the supply voltage for a connected
active internal antenna. Note the instructions of the antenna manufacturer to do this:
The internal antenna must be suitable for a direct current of 5 V; the maximum current
consumption must not exceed 30 mA.
Caution: The antenna power must not be enabled for internal antennae with their own
supply terminals. Otherwise, there is a risk of a short-circuit or destruction of the
antenna.
Disconnect the set-top box from the mains immediately (device switch), if the message
Antenna input short-circuit or overload appears after switching on the antenna
power. Check your antenna and resolve the possible causes (current consumption too
high or short-circuit).
M
> Settings > Antenna > Antenna Connection > Antenna power
w o
Choose and confirm the On or Off option if the set-top box is to supply the
connected internal antenna with direct current (5 V).
Input Parameters
When you select the Settings > Antenna > Input Parameters menu, the Input Param-
eters 1 / 3 menu opens, see "Checking Input Parameters" on page 43.
This menu contains all technical information on receiving the current channel as well as
on your set-top box. You can switch to other channels and, for example, use the graph-
ical displays of the reception quality as assistance for aligning your mobile earth station.
The values displayed cannot be changed however.
