System Information
You can see the device name of your set-top box and the version number of the cur-
rently installed device software in the Settings > General > System Information
menu.

Note down this information before you install an update or contact the service
hotline.
Picture & Sound
You can make various settings for playing back picture and sound in the Settings > Pic-
ture & Sound menu. Some settings can also be called up or changed during an active
session or during playback of a recording using the colour buttons, see "Selecting Pic-
ture and Sound" on page 34.
Sound
Language
Some channels broadcast their programme or individual programme selections using
special sound channels, in order for example to offer a number of languages for selec-
tion. Programmes for which a number of sound channels are available, are displayed in
the info bar with the
You can use the Language option to define which sound channel your set-top box
should transmit for the current programme.

Choose the language for the current programme.
You can use the blue colour button to toggle at any time during a pro-
gramme between the available sound channels (see "Selecting the Lan-
guage" on page 36).
Audio setting
Some channels broadcast their programme or individual programme selections using a
number of sound tracks. You can use the Audio Setting option to define how you would
prefer your set-top box to transmit audio signals.

Select the setting with which programmes are played back.
The audio settings Stereo, Mono left and Mono right are available for
selection among others.
You can use the red colour button to toggle at any time during a pro-
gramme between the available settings (see "Selecting the Audio Set-
ting" on page 35).
