Changing protection
(Only available for the storage location To hard disk (internal).)
When a recording starts, your set-top box checks whether there is sufficient free storage
space on the hard disk. If there is not, the required storage space is created by deleting
stored recordings.
Recordings for which the Protection option is activated are not deleted.

Choose the Protection area.

Activate or deactivate write protection.
When the option is activated, the Protection icon is displayed, see "Icons
in the Menu" on page 30.

Administering Recordings

All stored recordings are listed in the archive area and can be called up there for editing
or for playback:

First of all you will see a list of the stored recordings that you last played back. Using the
All Films option (or All Music) you can now open a summary of all stored recordings.
In addition to the title, the date of the recording is also displayed. You will also be able
to see in the Status column whether the recording is still active (yellow recording icon)
and in the Protection column whether the recording is write protected.
You have the following options:

Delete stored recording from the hard disk.
Toggle between the current archive and the Timer menu, in order for
example to check the settings for a multiple recording or an ongoing

recording (see "Changing Recordings" on page 48).
Open the Recording pop-up window in order to change the name and

the write protection of the stored recording.
If available, show detailed information on the stored recording.
Note: If your set-top box is equipped with a USB port, you can archive your recordings
on a PC using the PC software Gigaset M45x PC Manager (see "USB Connection to a PC
(optional)" on page 24).
