Settings
Display time
You can set an expiry time for displaying the menus listed above after which these
menus are shown automatically.

> Settings > General > OSD Display > OSD Display Time

Select and confirm the desired display time.

Video Output

Signal type
Use the Signal Type option to define the coding in which the received signal will be
passed on to the television.

> Settings > General > Video Output > Signal Type

Select a signal type that is suitable for your television.
The colour models FBAS, RGB, S-Video and YUV can be selected.
If in doubt, choose the setting that will give you the best picture quality.

Aspect ratio
The Aspect Ratio option is used for adapting the video signal to the format of your tel-
evision screen.
Note also the aspect ratio settings of the connected devices (televisions, video record-
ers), because each of these settings can impact the actual display.

Select and confirm an aspect ratio.
The aspect ratio is adapted and the setting is saved.
16:9
Your television is a 16:9 device.
Programmes in 16:9 format are
played in full-picture mode.
The height of the picture is adjusted to the height of the screen for pro-
grammes in 4:3 format; the picture is limited by black bars to the left
and right.
