Description
Displays specified events by event
category names.
NOTE: To see a list of possible
event category names use
-vall.
Display specified events by event
IDs.
Searches event descriptions and
displays events based on the
specified case-sensitive string.
<string>: Event description
is exactly the same as the
string.
<string>%: Event description
begins with the string.
%<string>
: Event description ends with
the string.
%<string>%
: Event description contains
the string. This is the default if
no operator is specified.
NOTE: This argument can be
used more than once.
Used to specify date and time as
part of the search criteria.
eq: Displays events on the
specified date/time. This is the
default if no argument is
specified.
le: Displays events prior to
and on the specified
date/time.
ge: Displays events on and
after the specified date/time.
Displays events between the
specified date/times in the format
<mm:dd:yyyy:hh:mi:ss>.
NOTE:
<Time and date 1>
and <Time and date 2> must
be enclosed by [ ].
Examples
-v Processor,Memory: Displays all
events in the categories Processor and
Memory
-i 123,124,125: Displays event IDs
123, 124 and 125.
-r "device not configured.":
Displays all events containing the
description "device not configured."
-r "%driver not%": Displays all
events containing the description
"driver not".
-r "The event%" -r "%event
occurred": Displays all events with
descriptions starting with "The event"
or ending with "event occurred".
t 10:22:2004 : Displays all
events on 10/22/2004
t gt 10:22:2004: Displays all
events on and after 10/22/2004.
-t [10:22:2004-10:29:2004]:
Displays all events between
10/22/2004 and 10/29/2004.
