Start recording.
While recording, you cannot listen to
other sources.
For CD-TAPE Synchro Recording:
Press ENTER. When the recording is
completed, the disc and the tape stop
automatically.
For Manual Recording:
To start recording from a disc, press
ENTER.
To start recording from source other
than disc, press ENTER, then start
playing the recording source.
If there is noise while recording from
the tuner, reposition the respective
antenna to reduce the noise.
For Sound Mixing:
Press ENTER, and then start playing
the source and start singing or
speaking into the microphone.
Adjust the microphone volume by
turning MIC 1 LEVEL or MIC 2
LEVEL.
After you have finished, turn MIC 1
LEVEL or MIC 2 LEVEL to MIN.
If acoustic feedback (howling) occurs,
reduce the volume, move the
microphone away from the speakers,
or change the direction of the
microphone.
To stop recording
Press x.

Notes
• CD-TAPE Synchro Recording is not available
with DVDs.
• You cannot perform tape recording when the
disc tray is opened.
• You cannot eject the disc during CD-TAPE
Synchro Recording.
• When you press REC TO TAPE in step 4, the
surround effect may automatically change.
• When you press REC TO TAPE or when you
connect a microphone in DVD function, the
following sound field is automatically
selected.
– "LINK" if the headphones are not
connected.
– "HP 2CH" if the headphones are connected.
• If you connect or disconnect a microphone or
headphones during recording, the sound may
cut off for a moment.
• Do not eject the tape during recording, as this
may cause irreparable damage to the tape and
the tape deck.
• If you press REC TO TAPE during Manual
Recording or Sound Mixing, the recording is
paused. To resume recording, press REC TO
TAPE again.
• The system may continue playback of other
discs even after the CD-TAPE Synchro
Recording is completed.
Tip
For AUDIO CD, if you select both sides
recording and the tape reaches the end of the
front side part-way through a track, the entire
track is recorded again from the beginning of the
reverse side (CD-TAPE Synchro Recording
only).
