Selecting playback priority of
the file type
You can select playback priority when
there is more than 1 type of media (MP3
audio files, JPEG image files, or video
files) in the disc.

Load a DATA CD/DVD on the
disc tray.

DISPLAY when
playback is stopped.
The Control Menu appears on the TV
screen.

(MEDIA), then
press ENTER.
The options for "MEDIA" appear on
the TV screen.

The default setting is underlined.
• MUSIC/PHOTO: You can play back
both JPEG image files and MP3
audio files in the same folder as a
slide show.
• MUSIC: MP3 audio file playback
has priority.
• VIDEO: Video file playback has
priority.
• PHOTO: JPEG image files playback
has priority. You can play back JPEG
image files as a slide show.

Enjoying video files

You can play back Xvid video files and
MPEG4 video files.
Xvid video files that the system can
play back
The system can play back data that is
recorded in Xvid format, and which has
the extension ".avi". The system will not
play back files with the extension ".avi" if
they do not contain a Xvid video.
Notes
• The system may not play back a Xvid video
file when the file has been combined from two
or more Xvid video files.
• The system cannot play back a Xvid video file
size of more than 720 (width) x 480 (height)
for 30 fps and 720 (width) x 576 (height) for
25 fps.
• Depending on the Xvid video file, the picture
may be unclear or the sound may skip.
• The system cannot play back some Xvid
video files that are longer than 2 hours.
• The system cannot play back a Xvid video file
which bit rate is over 4.854 Mbps.
MPEG4 video files that the system
can play back
The system can play back data that is
encoded in MPEG4 Simple Profile
(AVC is not supported), and which has
the extension ".mp4" or ".m4v". The
system will not play back files with the
extension ".mp4" or ".m4v" if they do not
contain a MPEG4 video.
Notes
• The system cannot play back a MPEG4 video
file which bit rate is over 4 Mbps.
• Compatibility with all MPEG4 video
encoding/writing software, recording devices,
and recording media cannot be guaranteed.
