10.2.3 Numeric hall display (address 248)

The numeric hall display is used to display voting results and possibly a voting timer during a parliamentary
vote. This is the only hall display type that does not require a DCN control PC.
It displays 6 lines of numeric characters only, and each with at least 6 positions long.

present
3
Number of delegates
that voted Yes
4

that voted No
5

6

The voting timer is a four-digit number (two for the minutes, two for the seconds) without a separator between
the minutes and seconds. Most displays will show a separator such as ":" automatically. (The separator has to
be a part of the fixed text on the front panel of the display.)
Example:
A voting round is running with 14 minutes and 25 seconds left. There is a total of 1235 delegates present ,
945 delegates have voted yes, 30 delegates have voted no, 255 delegates have abstained and 5 delegates
did not vote.

10.2.4 Alphanumeric hall display (addresses: display 1, 249; display 2, 250)

The alphanumeric hall display consists of at least 10 lines of 33 characters and can show parliamentary
voting results only, microphone information and message texts. If the display is larger, the additional space
will not be used. The texts sent by the DCN depend on the PC software settings (applications which are
allowed to send data to the displayed must be enabled in the LD application) and are entirely unformatted.
DCN can handle two numeric hall displays at the same time, each with its own settings. As far as the hall
displays are concerned, there is no difference between hall display 1 and 2. Only the DDB is set to a different
address.
Example:
A parliamentary voting round is running with 14 minutes and 25 seconds left. There is a total of 1235
delegates present , 945 delegates have voted yes, 30 delegates have voted no, 255 delegates have
abstained and 5 delegates did not vote.
