4.3.5 Installing Air Ducts

Air duct plates must be at least 1.2 mm thick.
Add a pad at the flange joint between air duct sections. The pad should be
closed-cell foam rubber (thickness: 5 mm) or sealing rubber strip.
Flexible connections are required between the air ducts and the unit.
For connections between the air ducts, flexible connections, air dampers, unit,
and building, the bolt spacing should not exceed 150 mm and all connection
seams should be sealed with sealant.
The external surfaces of air ducts, flexible connections, and air dampers
should be mounted with a thermal insulation foam of at least 30 mm thick
