Centrifuge Module Interface Operating Instructions
• If enough power is available, the robot removes the spun cassettes
from the Hettich unit and places the cassettes on the scale or in the
buffer area if the scale is full.
The Centrifuge module transitions to white Shutdown. Remove the
sample tubes from the Centrifuge module and process the samples
according to your laboratory power-loss procedure.
• If enough power is not available to remove the spun cassettes from the
Hettich unit, the spun cassettes are left in the Hettich Centrifuge
module.
Remove all sample tubes from the scale and buffer area and process
the samples according to your laboratory power-loss procedure. For
the cassettes that remain in the Hettich Centrifuge module, contact
your local technical support provider.

Recovering from a Disabled Centrifuge Module

When an E-stop occurs and the Centrifuge module cannot resume
operation, bring the Centrifuge module to white shutdown. You must
remove sample tubes from the Centrifuge module. If the Centrifuge
module has not yet spun sample tubes, and another Centrifuge module is
not available, process the sample tubes offline.
Bringing the Interface out of White Shutdown
1. Ensure that the following conditions exist:
a. The E-stop button is pulled out.
b. All operator access covers and doors are fully closed.
c. The track is running and the gate is homed.
2. At the LineMaster workspace, select the Centrifuge module.
The Details screen displays. The Centrifuge module is in Shutdown.
3. Select Online.
While the interface is transitioning to the online state, the automation
software and the Centrifuge module software check communication
links and safety features. The robot surveys the Centrifuge module to
check for sample tubes.
