Centrifuge Module Interface Operating Instructions
•
Picks sample tubes from the pick position at the interface gate and
places them in the cassettes on the scale.
•
Redistributes sample tubes between cassettes for load balancing.
•
Picks unspun or empty cassettes from the scale and loads them into
Hettich unit buckets.
•
Picks spun or empty cassettes from the Hettich unit.
•
Moves the spun cassettes onto the scale for post-process weighing.
•
Picks centrifuged sample tubes from cassettes and places them in the
place position at the interface gate.
Drive Unit
The drive unit controls relays through which the robot computer receives
signals from the module and sensors.
Robot Computer
The robot computer controls the motion of the robot assembly. The robot
moves using X, Y, and Z axes for picking and placing sample tubes and
cassettes. The X axis and Y axis move horizontally. The Z axis moves
vertically.
Interface Computer
The interface computer provides communications between the Centrifuge
module components and the LineMaster workspace.
