4.10. Slip Ring Change Procedure

4.10.1. Slip Ring Removal

(1) After the all zeroing operation (Refer to Section 1 " Home Return Procedure " in
Chapter 2), turn OFF the power to the machine and turn OFF the breaker.
* When the zeroing operation is not available, turn OFF the power to the machine
and turn OFF the breaker.
(2) Remove the four coupling fixing bolts (M3 × L10) and remove the coupling.
* Be careful not to drop the fixing bolt.
* For the fixing bolt in the rear side in left figure, turn it to remove after removing the bolt on
the front side.
(3) Disconnect the connectors of the slip ring.
* When the connector is to be
disconnected, do not hold and pull the
cable section. It might cause a wire
breakage.
(4) Remove the four slip ring set screws (M3 × L8) and release the slip ring freely. Then,
spread the bound cables and remove the connector.
* When the connector is to be disconnected, do not hold and pull the cable section.
* Take care not to drop any set screw.
* Take care because the wiring harness plate has also been fastened with the set
screw.
