How to Replace a Current Segment
HP 81200 Data Generator/Analyzer Platform User Guide, Revision 2.1
2 Choose Select Segment.
The segment selection window appears.
Figure 67
Select Segment Window
Per default, the window shows all accessible segments. You can change
the directory to view only the global or local segment pool. Segments in
the global segment pool can be accessed from all settings. Segments in
the local segment pool can only be accessed from the current setting.
3 Select the segment you wish to insert into the block.

If you intend to use a stored segment, please note: Any segment will not fit
any block.
If the length and/or width of a segment is smaller than the blocklength or
port width, then an error message is displayed when the sequence is
downloaded. It is necessary to edit the segment to match the blocklength
and port width. If the length or width of a segment is larger than the
blocklength or port width, then the segment will be cropped to fit. A copy
of the segment is made and this is cropped to fit, from the MSB (width) or
from the bottom (length).
The lengths of the blocks depend on the blocklength granularity selected in
relation to get out the required system clock rate, and the required memory
depth. For details see "FMR and Blocklength Granularity" on page 31.
See also "Data Memory Usage" on page 39 and "Segment Type
Combinations" on page 39.
