Step 2 Reclaim the refrigerant from the low pressure needle valve and liquid pipe needle
valve to ensure that there is no pressure inside the system.
Step 3 Remove the filter dryer.
● During welding, use a silver copper welding rod containing 5% silver. Check
that the welding joints are in good condition, without poor welding.
● To avoid burning the internal components, other pipes, thermal insulation
foam, power cables, and labels, take protective measures, such as spreading
wet cloth, around the welding joints.
● Do not use face-down bonding when welding.

Step 4 Install the new filter dryer.
● When welding a new filter dryer, identify the arrow on the filter dryer. The
arrow direction should be the same as the refrigerant flow direction.
● Do not use face-down bonding when welding.

Remove the rubber plug from the port of the filter dryer.
Install the filter dryer in the unit and weld copper pipes at both ends.
Reinstall the hold hoop.
