A010 : CAPSTAN FREE SPEED
This menu is used to perform the automatic adjustment of
a capstan free speed.
m
. Alignment tapes SR2-1 and SR2-1P, and CR2-1B
(DNW-A22) or CR2-1B PS (DNW-A22P) are required
for this adjustment.
Perform the adjustment with each alignment tape.
. Message "SET SR2-1 ALIGNMENT TAPE AND PUSH
PLAY KEY" is displayed on the superimposed display
when this menu is opened. However, it is not necessary
to press the PLAY button.
To execute the automatic adjustment
(1) Insert the following alignment tape.

. The adjustment is initiated on inserting the align-
ment tape.
. During the automatic adjustment, a message
"ADJUSTING......" will be displayed on only the
superimposed display.

. Be sure to use the specified alignment tape.
If the specified alignment tape is not used, the
adjustment cannot be properly performed even if a
message "ADJUST COMPLETE" is displayed on
completing the adjustment.
. To complete the check, the inserted alignment tape
requires the continuous playback-able portion more
than a check execution time.
The adjustment execution time is usually about
fifteen seconds.
(2) Check the adjustment result.
. On completing the automatic adjustment, the
message "ADJUST COMPLETE" will be displayed.
If the automatic adjustment fails, a message "#
ADJUST INCOMPLETE #" will be displayed. In
this case, refer to the "For Automatic Adjustment
Failure (A000 to A011)" on page 4-41.
(3) To exit the menu, press the MENU button once.
(4) To save the adjustment data into the NV-RAM of a
servo system, execute the SAVE SERVO ADJUST
DATA in A012 : NV-RAM CONTROL menu.
