Workpiece measurement: Measure surface

When you press the softkey "MEASUREMENT START" the control automatically switches to
"AUTOMATIC" mode and measuring cycle L887 is selected. The measuring cycle is
processed on NC START. The measuring cycle determines the actual value of the workpiece
along the selected axis and the setpoint/actual value difference.
The probe is positioned the distance "a" from the measured surface on completion of
measurement. The control automatically switches to JOG mode and the selection display
"WORKPIECE MEASUREMENT" appears on the screen with the measurement results.
