Account code type
Entering the account code when making an external call
can be "mandatory" or "optional", depending on the
way the code is configured.
•
Optional - There is no need to enter the account
code at the start of the call in order to complete the
call. However, it can be typed in during the call if you
are using a system telephone.
Mandatory - The account code must be entered at

the start of the call or it cannot be completed.
Required: Programming mode must be activated (*95
31994).

Account code confirmation
When account code confirmation is activated, only ac-
count codes that have been configured previously may
be used (account codes must be set using HiPath 1100
Manager). If an invalid account code is typed in, a neg-
ative tone will sound or a message will be displayed.
If confirmation is deactivated, any account code may be
used.
Required: Programming mode must be activated (*95
31994).
