CHECKING THE CYLINDER AND PISTON

1. Eliminate:
• carbon deposits
Use a rounde scraper
2. Inspect:
• cylinder wall Wear/striping
change
3. Eliminate:
• carbon deposits
From the piston crown
.
4. Remove:
• cracking marks and carbon deposits on
piston sides.
5. Inspect:
• piston wall
Wear/striping/damage
6. Measure:
• piston to cylinder clearance

Rectify or

Replace.
