ENGINE DISASSEMBLY

REMOVING THE REAR WHEEL

1. Remove:
• rear wheel
Refer to "REMOVING THE REAR WHEEL"
in chapter 7
• brake shoes
• flat washer
EAS00222
REMOVING THE CYLINDER HEAD AND
CYLINDER
1. Remove:
• cylinder covers (CS50 only)
• carburator coolant hoses (CS50Z only)
• cylinder head
• cylinder head gasket
NOTE:
• Before loosening the cylinder head, loosen
the spark plug
• The position nuts of the cylinder head
should be loosened by 1/2 a turn each time
and then removed.
2. Remove:
• coolant hose (on cylinder) (CS50Z only)
• cylinder
• cylinder gasket

REMOVING THE PISTON PIN AND PISTON

1. Remove:
• piston pin clip
NOTE:
Before removing the piston pin clip, cover the
crankcase with a clean cloth so that it does not
accidentally fall into the crankcase.
