Display 13: Toggle Cell Barred Status

Only non-barred
cells are used
This test is meant to be used when some cells are tested prior to
taking them into commercial use. By setting the barring on in the
base station, normal GSM phones will not try to register these
barred cells. By selecting cell barring reversed, the MS will only use
the cells to be tested. However, if at the same time it is required that
MS will be capable of using a normal network, cell barring ignored
can be set. Display 13 will show the cell barring mode.
NOTE:
If a cell has been selected before the barring state is changed the
selected cell may have a different barring state than that shown on
the display. After reselection the cell barring state definitely works.
To change the barring status, perform the following steps:
1 In idle mode, press Menu.
2 Scroll in the menu main loop to the Net monitor item and press
Select.
3 Select display 13 in executive mode by keying in 0113 at the
Group/display: prompt
