Complete the following steps to create a mirrored pair of SCSI hard disk drives:
1. From the list of adapters, select the controller (channel) for the drives that you
want to mirror.
2. Select Mirroring Properties.
3. Use the arrow keys to highlight the first drive in the pair; then, press the Minus
key to change the mirroring value to Primary.
4. Use the arrow keys to highlight the second drive in the pair; then, press the
Minus key to change the mirroring value to Secondary.
5. To establish a third drive that will take over the function of either mirrored drive
in the event of a failure, use the arrow keys to highlight the drive that you want
to use for that purpose; then, press the Minus key to change the mirroring value
to Hot Spare.
This section describes the Remote Supervisor Adapter features and prerequisites
for installation. It also explains how to use the documentation effectively and how to
cable and configure the adapter for use on an Advanced System Management
(ASM) network so that you can manage the server from a remote location. For

v Point-to-point protocol (PPP) support
v Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP)
v Domain Name System (DNS) and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)
support
v Remote power control
v Microsoft Windows NT and Windows 2000 blue-screen capture
v Remote firmware update and access to critical server settings
v Optional, independent power, which enables around-the-clock access to the
server, even if the server is powered off
Before you set up the Remote Supervisor Adapter, you must download to a
diskette, the DOS Remote Supervisor Utility program from
http://www.sec.co.kr/server.
