Protecting Images; Deleting All Images - Samsung DIGIMAX A403 User Manual

•This is used to protect specific shots from b eing accidentally erased (LOCK).
It a lso unprotects images that have been previously protected (UNLOCK).
•Protecting Images
1. P ress the p lay mode button and press the m enu
button.
2. P ress the L EFT/RIGHT button and select the
[PROTEC]] menu tab.
3. S elect adesired sub menu by p ressing the U P/
DOWN button and press the O K button.
[SELECT] :Only tbe i mage tbet is displayed on
the L CD monitor is protected or unprotected.
[ALL] :All of t he s tored images are p rotected or u nprotected.
4. S elect the d esired secondary menu by pressing
the W /T button and press the O K b utton.
[UNLOCK] :Cancels the p rotect function.
[LOCK] :Sets up the p rotect function.
-Ifyou select the [ SELECT sub menu at s tep 3,
you can protect or u nprotect another image by
pressing the L EFT/RIGHT button. If y ou press
the S HUTTER button, the I mage Protection
menu will disappear.
-Ifyou protect an image, the p rotect icon( O-n )
will be displayed on the L CD monitor.
(An u nprotected image has no indicator)
-An i mage in LOCK mode will be protected from
[DELETE] or [ DELETE ALL] functions, but wilI
NOT be protected from t he [ FORMAl] function.
•Of all the f iles stored in the m emory card, the u nprotected files in the D CIM
subfolder will be deleted. Remember that this wilt permanently delete unprotecte
images. Important shots should be stored on acomputer before deletion takes
place. The star[up image is stored inthe c amera's internal memory (i.e., not on
the m emory card) and itwill not be deleted even ifyou d elete all files on the
memory card.
•Deleting all images
1. P ress the p lay mode button and press the m enu
button.
2. P ress the L EFT/RIGHT button and select the
[DELETE ALL] menu tab.
3. S elect adesired sub menu by pressing the U P/
DOWN button and press the O K button.
Selecting [SELEC]]: cancels "Delete All"
Selecting [ALL]:Displays the d ialogue box to confirm the d elete.
-If[DELETE] is selected :press the O K b utton and all unprotected pictures
are d eleted.
-If[CANCEL] is selected :press the O K b utton and images are n ot deleted.
