2. You can view a demo of the GUIDEPlus+ features, which
may take a few minutes to load. If you don't want to see
the demo, pressOK to watch W.
What to Expect
The next time you are in IV mode,the GUIDEPlus+ system
will appear on the screen.The following examplesexplain
what you might see:
* If all of the program information has been sent to your
IV, the GUIDEPlus+ systemappears with all of your W
program listings.
* If the program information hasn't been sent to your IV
yet, an outline of the GUIDE(without lV program listings)
will appear on the screen.Program information is usually
sent to your IV at night.
, If the IV detected that you have multiple cable
companies in your area, STEPS:Choosing Your Channel
Lineup appears.
Featuresof the GUIDEPlus+system are explained in Chapter
3.
To clear the guide from your screen,pressCLEARor GUIDEon
the remote control.
This is the Automatic Language
Selection Screen. Englishis the default
language, and appears highlighted
when the screen comes up.
Setting Other Options
Set the DVD Menu Language
The first time you are in DVD mode, the Automatic Language
Selection Screenappears.
By default, the DVD'son-screen displays are shown in
English. If you want the on-screen menus to appear in
English, pressOKon the remote.
To change the language:
1. Pressthe down arrow button on the remote until the
appropriate language is highlighted.
2. PressOKon the remote.
This screen sets all language preferencesfor on-screen
displays to the same language. You can use the DVD'smenu
system to set individual language preferences(seeChapter 4).
The DVD'smenu system contains many options which can enhance your discviewing and listening
experience.Theseoptions include:
• ratings limits
• language preferences
• audio preferences
• display options
