Installing the Battery
Load a fully charged Battery Pack LP-E5 into the camera.
_ pen the battery compartment
cover.
_ Slide the lever as shown by the arrow'
and open the cover.
_ Insert the battery.
_ Insert the end with the battery
contacts.
_ Insert the battery until it locks in
place.
,:_.l_ Close the cover.
_ Press the cover until it snaps shut.
Removing the Battery
Open
the cover and remove the
battery.
_, Press the battery lock lever as shown
by the arrow and remove the battery.
_ To prevent shorting, be sure to attach
the protective cover to the battery.
