Symmetrical Multiprocessing Support Installation

Launch the Software Manager.
# custom
Select Software -> Install New -> From scosysv (your system name).

Insert the OS installation CD into CD-ROM, select CD-ROM Drive 0 and

press Continue.
Select SCO Symmetrical Multiprocessing (ver 1.1.1Hw) and press Install.

During the installation, you have to apply the SMP license code.
4.
When the installation completed, please reboot the system.

# shutdown –g0

Intel Gigabit Ethernet Driver Installation

You can download the onboard Intel gigabit Ethernet driver from GCSD

website. Copy the driver form floppy disk to hard disk and rename it as
VOL.000.000
# mount –f DOS /dev/fd0 /mnt
# cp /mnt/* /tmp/.
# cd /tmp
# mv <Intel-NIC-driver> VOL.000.000
Use custom to install the driver

# custom
Select Software -> Install New -> From scosysv (your system name) ->

Media Images and specify the path to /tmp.
Use netconfig to configure the network adapter.

# netconfig
NOTE. A kernel rebuild and reboot is required before the new configuration
take effect.
