GENERAL NOTES:
This recorder is designed to operate in a horizontal position.
Do not install the recorder in a location near heat sources, such as radiators, air ducts etc., or in a
place subject to direct sunlight, excessive dust, mechanical vibration or shocks.
Allow adequate air circulation to prevent internal heat build-up. Do not place the recorder on sur-
faces such as rugs, blankets, etc., or near materials such as curtatins or drapes, etc., that may block
the ventilation holes.
Keep the recorder and video cassette away from strong magnetic fields.
After playing a tape, remove the video tape from the VCR if the VCR is not going to be used for an
extended length of time.
Do not transport the recorder with a video cassette in the VCR.
To disconnect the cord, pull it by the plug. Never pull the cord itself.
Generally, head cleaning by the user is not required. Should snow or streaks appear in the playback
picture after having used the recorder for an extended period of time, consult your nearest NEC
dealer.
Should any liquid or solid object fall into the VCR cabinet, unplug the recorder and have it checked
by a qualified personnel before operating it any further.
Save the original shipping carton and packing material; they will come in handy if you ever have to
ship your recorder.
For maximum protection, repack the recorder as it was originally packed at the factory.
This machine is designed to recorded and play back the NTSC color video signal.
Do not place any magnetism emitting device (TV set, etc.) on top of the VCR. Otherwise noise or
other screen disturbances may occur.
Do not place any object heavier than 30 pounds on the VCR.
Television program films, video tapes and other materials may be copyrighted. Unauthorized
recording of such material may be contrary to the provisions of copyright laws.
